Data Deletion Request

1. Your Right to Erasure

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa, you have the right to request the deletion of personal information we hold about you. We will action all valid deletion requests within 30 days of receipt.

2. What Data We Hold

Depending on how you have used LuckyFlo, we may hold the following personal information:

  • Account data — name, email address, phone number
  • Booking history — appointment dates, services booked, staff assigned
  • Client records — notes added by the business you visited
  • Review content — star ratings and written feedback you submitted
  • Payment references — transaction identifiers (no card or banking details stored)
  • Usage logs — anonymised analytics and error logs

3. How to Request Deletion

Send an email to:

privacy@luckyflo.com

Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • The email address associated with your LuckyFlo account
  • Your phone number (if applicable)
  • A brief description of what you would like deleted (e.g. "all my data" or "my account only")

We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will send a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

4. What Happens After Deletion

Upon a valid deletion request we will:

  • Permanently delete or anonymise your personal information from our systems
  • Remove your account and associated booking records
  • Anonymise any reviews so they are no longer linked to your identity
  • Retain only the minimum records required by law (e.g. financial transaction references for tax purposes) for the legally mandated period

Note: if you are a client of a business using LuckyFlo, the business owner also holds a copy of your data in their own records. You may need to contact the business directly to request deletion of their independently held records.

5. Deletion via the Platform

Business owners can also delete individual client records directly from the LuckyFlo dashboard under Clients → [Client Name] → Delete Client. This permanently removes the client's personal information from the business's records.
